Weapon surrender bins offer a safe, anonymous way to dispose of knives. Across the West Midlands, we have over 30 weapon surrender bins that offer anyone the opportunity to dispose of a knife, or bladed weapon anonymously. 

In the past three months, almost 2000 weapons have been taken off the streets thanks to these weapon surrender bins, and this includes knives, guns, swords, and machetes.

We are launching a campaign to encourage young people, and adults, to safely dispose of unwanted knives and bladed articles using weapon surrender bins located across the region.

The bins provide a completely anonymous and discreet way for people to hand in knives they no longer want or need, helping to reduce the number of dangerous weapons on our streets and in homes.

The bins are located in discreet locations and can be used at any time, with no questions asked.

As well as the surrender bins, people can also safely hand knives and bladed articles into police stations. Any items being brought into a station should be securely wrapped and placed inside cardboard or another protective covering to prevent injury.
